Go Kate Gosselin Go…
Question: OK, Michelle, I know you’ve been avoiding the question, but what do you think of Jon and Kate Plus 8 now?
Answer: I have been avoiding this question, mostly because I just feel so bad for the Gosselin kids. But as much as I thought it was invasive for meto discuss the Gosselins on a blog – they keep putting themselves out there, and their show continues on…so, who am not to have an opinion?
I used to really dislike Kate Gosselin. I admit it. She seemed like a self-serving, narcissistic pain in the rear. And I think she is. But for all that, I kept waiting for Jon Gosselin to “man up” as it were…and not only could he not hold a job and support his family, but he whined about helping out with the kids too. No wonder Kate was the way she was – she had to keep him focused! I’d be yelling at him all the time too. His passive aggressive behavior would be enough to drive anyone insane – and having once been married to a man even more juvenile and passive aggressive than Jon Gosselin, I am ready to join the “Go Kate” bandwagon.
But Michelle, you really disliked Kate and her selfishness.
I did. I still do. I hope she gets over it. I saw a glimmer that she might be getting over it (a bit) in the preview for the new season premiere of the show in August. She was acting, well human, and like she really liked her kids…I hope it’s all genuine because her kids really could use it! For a brief moment, I saw joy in her eyes while she was playing in a tent with her kids. Now, put the spanking and the hair and the book tour and the desperate need for attention even if it’s from photographers aside – and I could see a moment where she looked happy to be with her children.

I don’t know what else to say about him. It appears that of all of them, he has benefitted the most – and what’s worse, he seems so remorseless about it all. He’s gotten his meal ticket out of Kate…and now he has his freedom too.
