No new 18 Kids and Counting for a while…
I was very happy to read that the Duggar family, subject of the show 18 Kids and Counting on TLC, has decided to put their show on hold until preemie Josie Duggar gets stronger. As many of you know, Michelle Duggar gave birth to Josie by C-section on Dec. 10, 2009 because of complications due to pre-eclampsia. She also suffered from gallstones, although this was not the reason for the premature birth, contrary to some Internet reports.
Josie was born 3 months premature and weighed a little more than 1 pound at birth.
The entire Duggar family moved from their hometown of Tontitown to Little Rock, Arkansas over 200 miles away to be nearer to Josie.
There is no word yet on when the show might continue, although some reports say it could be in as little as two or three weeks.
