Pink White
is it ok to breed a pink white chinchilla and a standard grey chinchilla, or will that make a lethal?
i have a pink white female and a s.g. male and i need to know if they are ok to breed, or if it will create lethal babies
Pink white is a combination of white and beige with a standard gray gene lurking back there, in most cases.
IF the white is normal (wilson white) and the beige is normal (tower beige) then there is no problems there. This type of pink white to standard gray (pure sg) is not lethel.
Tower beige and Wilson White are semi dominate.... Beige to beige is NOT lethel, but any white to white is a lethel breeding, as are any bv/tov to bv, while still dominate, black velvet is also semi lethel
There could be problems if the white or beige are of a recessive variety.
If the standard gray, normal standard gray is pure for gray and no recessive white or beige in there, again it would be OK.
IF the animals you wish to breed are not pedigreed, then you have a problem. You dont know what you are dealing with.... these animals could be related...These animals should NOT be bred
